Converting PSX emulator files back and forth with ePSXe

So I have been searching the internet for hours on end trying to find out how to convert a .mcr (.mcd) file from my playstation emulator ePSXe to a file (.bin , .psv) that my other playstation emulator (PSxfin) can use.

I had been having problems with one emulator so I was going to play over the problem area with a different one. To start off I had to create a save file in PSxfin, to do that just configure your memory card settings and create yourself a memory card. Then to convert it to a file ePSXe could use I just used the MemManager from www.aldostools.com. then my SAVE.bin file is changed to a SAVE.mcr file, now I could play my saved game on my other emulator. Now for the difficult part (finding out was difficult at least), this is actually really easy after I searched for hours to find out how.  The emulator ePSXe already has memory cards configured so once you play the part of the game you want in the new emulator switch it back to PSxfin. Simply take the memory card file from ePSXe usually looks like this (epsxe0000.mcr) copy it into your memory card folder for PSxfin and rename it as a .bin file, you can name it whatever you want after you move it, mine looks like this (epsxe0000.bin). Yes i know not very creative but it gets the job done. Now all you have to do is to configure your memory card settings to use the new .BIN file you just created. and voila your done.

Quick steps

1.) Set up your memory card settings
2.) Convert save file to a different type of file for a new emulator
3.) Copy and paste back to old emulator after playing the part you need to
4.) Then rename as a .BIN file or whatever file you need to play on your old emulator

All done, hope this helps out all those die hard emulator computer geeks like myself.
